“Photographers grow faster together than alone.”

Our story

Ordinary Collective was founded in Dhaka by seven photographers drawn together by a shared restlessness — a desire to make work that matters, to keep learning, and to open up photography to people who don’t yet know it’s theirs to practice.

We are a platform for exchange. We share knowledge, push each other’s work, and create real opportunities for photographers at every stage — whether you’re just beginning, shooting on weekends, or building an independent practice.

Through workshops, photo walks, open discussions and collaborative projects, we work to deepen photography education and expand participation in visual culture across Bangladesh.

What we believe

01

Exchange over ego

We learn by showing unfinished work to each other and saying what we actually see.

02

Every stage counts

Beginners, weekend shooters and independent practitioners all belong in the same room.

03

Access without borders

Access to this medium shouldn’t be limited by geography or circumstance.

Outreach

Beyond Dhaka

We are committed to bringing photography learning to communities beyond the capital, especially to young and emerging voices.
